Martinez will start on Wednesday

The Phillies made it official today; Pedro Martinez will take over the fifth spot in the rotation, moving 46-year old Jamie Moyer to the bullpen.

A situation that was talked about since Martinez was inked about a month ago, finally played itself out a day after Moyer gave up 11 hits and three runs in a 12-3 loss to the Marlins.  The Phillies rotation, a question mark early in the season is now shaping up to be a potential strength.

There are still some questions to be answered.

1. Will Cole Hamels turn his mediocre season around?
2. Can rookie J.A. Happ continue to pitch at such a high level?
3. Will Pedro be able to find the form he displayed when he was the leagues top pitcher?
4. How will the bullpen look once everyone is healthy?

Just a few of the questions on my mind, feel free to weigh in.

Actually my concern isn’t how will the bullpen look once everyone is healthy but WILL everyone in the bullpen be healthy. Having this many players in the pen returning from injury can be very dangerous and I have a feeling a lot of them will be trying to go at less than 100%.
