Philadelphia 76ers free-agent point guard Andre Miller has signed with the Portland Trail Blazers. It is a three-year deal worth $21 million, $14 million is believed to be guaranteed with the third year being a team option at $7 million. Portland was one of only a handful of teams with the remaining cap space to do such a deal without a sign and trade. Not accomplishing a sign and trade and losing Miller for nothing in return is absolutely inexcusable for Ed Stefanski and the Philadelphia 76ers.

I see this as inexcusable. When you have that kind of tangible asset, you need to capitalize and add pieces. I’ll say it again: a trade involving either Brand, Iguodala or Young needs to happen to reshape an uneven roster.
