Just a quick post that I was laid off by NBC 40 on Friday after 4 years and 9 months of loyal service. I never saw it coming. The rest of the salaried employees company wide had to take a 5 percent pay cut, but I got chopped completely. I’m a little shell-shocked right now, but have been “on the beach” before and will dust myself off and rise again.

So sorry to hear that Pete. Hopefully a new opportunity will arise in the near future and it would be great if that new opportunity gave your audience more than 3 minutes a day to enjoy your insight, intellect, and world class sense of humor. After all, who couldn’t use a little more PT in their life?
Good luck and god bless.
With your experience it won’t be long before the PT phoenix rises again..let us know if we can help in any way

Too bad about Channel 40′s loss, I don’t watch their sports segments anymore.
You always looked as though you were really enjoying the broadcast. Thanks for the outstanding high school sports coverage, which you oversaw.
I wish you the very best in your future endeavors.
